ABOUT US
OUR STORY
We are a Ghanaian non-profit dedicated to the most vulnerable – those living with mental illness on the streets, often invisible to society and cut off from care. Our founders recognised that while mental illness touches every community, those without family support or resources are left to survive alone, frequently on the streets, without medication, dignity, or hope.
OUR PURPOSE
Hope Beyond the Streets exists to address the intersection of mental illness and homelessness through practical, coordinated, and humane interventions that improve health outcomes, restore dignity, and enable long-term social and economic reintegration.
Vision
A Ghana where persons experiencing mental illness live with dignity, have equitable access to quality mental health care, and are supported to live stable, safe, and meaningful lives within their communities, free from homelessness, neglect, and stigma.
MISSION
To provide compassionate, community-based mental health support and create sustainable pathways out of homelessness through outreach, access to care, rehabilitation, reintegration, and advocacy.
